On Thursday 13th November, at The Rookery in Carnoustie, Carnoustie Golf Links Management Committee announced its latest distribution of community benefit funds to local clubs, organisations and groups in and around Carnoustie

Community Benefits Convenor, David Cheape was joined by Derek Cavellini, Chair of CGLMC and other Board members to announce this year’s round of funding.

The scope and eligibility for applications to the Community Benefits fund remains providing financial assistance for community groups, organisations and projects from in and around Carnoustie to assist these groups to sustain, expand and develop in order to continue to provide the services they offer the community.

The first round of funding occurred back in November 2015 and despite a short break during Covid, CGLMC have now provided almost £550,000 of financial support to the Carnoustie community.

CGLMC no longer own and operate Carnoustie Golf Links having concluded a sale and purchase agreement with investors earlier this year. The net proceeds of sale are now professionally invested for the long term community benefit of Carnoustie and will continue to provide ongoing annual financial awards.

On the evening itself, 21 awards were made totalling £50,000 with eligible applications being either paid in full or others being part funded.

Applications for next year’s round of funding will open in June 2026.
